Case study: Barn conversion, Abergavenny
Situated in the heart of the Black Mountains in Wales resides this sympathetically converted barn, which was built to work in harmony and sympathetically with its surroundings.
This was achieved with the help of a Kensa ground source heat pump which provides 100% of its space heating requirement, even in the deepest and darkest of Welsh winters.
The vision for this sympathetic barn conversion, located in remote woodland, was to reduce running costs and secure sustainable, renewable energy.
Kensa provided a 12kW twin compressor Compact ground source heat pump and a three Slinky ground array design, buried in 50 metre long trenches.
The heat pump provides 100% space heating to this home and is paired with underfloor heating to achieve maximum energy efficiency.
