A £41million low carbon transport, power and heat energy superhub is being built in Oxford, and will include the retrofit of Kensa Shoebox ground source heat pumps in domestic properties. The smart city approach will demonstrate the potential for large-scale heat and transport decarbonisation with ground source heat pumps, grid-scale energy storage, the largest hybrid battery ever deployed for EV charging points, and optimised energy trading.
