Our Services

Kensa is more than just a manufacturer of ground source heat pumps. Kensa provides a complete turnkey service, from feasibility study, through to design, full project management as well as installation and commissioning.

Holisitic project management

Kensa Contracting delivers full project management of retrofit and new build ground source heat pump installations, including training of preferred framework contractors and tenant liaison.

Furthermore, by manufacturing the ground source heat pumps ourselves, Kensa installations are safeguarded against supply chain issues.

Tenant awareness

Kensa Contracting project managers work alongside tenant liaison officers to explain directly to tenants about their proposed new heating systems, discuss the processes and answer any questions they may have.

Kensa can provide a working demonstration unit and make available co-branded support materials for tenants to read more about the intended project.

Our services

The Kensa technical team will support you with identifying the most suitable properties for deployment of a micro heat network scheme (also known as district heating). This involves reviewing your housing stock to identify properties in the most attractive areas for ECO funding, initial geological surveys, site reviews and financial modelling around typical costs and returns.

Full design package

Including EPC’s, heat load calculations and geological reports to enable drilling contractors to work effectively and efficiently while on site.

Contract management

Kensa Contracting engages directly with your organisation and takes responsibility for the appointment and management of all sub-contractors, including drillers, ground workers, plumbers and electricians.

We work with a network of drilling contractors, experienced in operating within the social housing sector. Where possible we will work with your preferred plumbing and heating contractor or DLO for the installation of internal heating systems.

Commissioning and hand over

Kensa Contracting remains involved directly until the project is completed. We also ensure that adequate responsive after sales provision is in place, training your preferred responsive maintenance contractor on the use and potential fault diagnosis of our systems.

RHI and ECO applications

Once installation is complete and MCS certified, part of our role is to support you with your application for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) with Ofgem. We also directly manage the ECO claim for you with the nominated energy provider.

Warranty and after sales support

Our technical team remain on hand to support you and your maintenance contractors for as long as you need us. All of our products come with a 5 year warranty for your peace of mind.

This was very much a ‘hands off’ project for Coastline once work commenced; we have been impressed with the level of care and consideration for our tenants needs; the swift and professional delivery of the physical work; and importantly the careful restoration of areas where the borehole drilling took place. As a reflection of this we are keen to progress a further project this year on a similar scale

Ralph Retallack, Coastline Housing

The installation was brilliant, 100%. I’ve never seen such good, clean workers.

The installation was very positive for our first experience of GSHP; the set up was well organised and the information provided to us and the customers was first class.

Nigel Gosling, Senior Contracts Manager, Bromford Housing Association
