Kensa Heat Pumps has reaffirmed its position as the leading manufacturer and supplier of ground source heat pumps with a double win at the H & V News Awards 2013; the only company to achieve a double-win this year.

Celebrating alongside its clients at the prestigious affair hosted at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane, Kensa achieved awards in the following categories:

Aspire Housing has just completed a programme to deliver significantly lower running costs to customers living in fifteen properties at Ashley.  Not only is the fabric of these post-war Airey Houses being improved to reduce energy demand, new ground source heat pumps now also deliver the heat and hot water far more efficiently than the previous oil or solid fuel boilers, and dramatically reduce their carbon footprint.

To support the installations, partial funding was obtained through the Government’s RHPP  programme and via leading energy company SSE  under the guidance and support of Kensa Engineering, who also manufactured and managed the installation of the ground source heat pumps.

The UK’s most ambitious ground source heat pump retrofit programme has been successfully completed on time and on budget, following a collaborative partnership between Yarlington Housing Group and ground source heat pump manufacturer, Kensa Engineering.

Over 200 ground source heat pumps were installed over 90 days in Somerset this Autumn, following Yarlington Housing Group’s successful bid for Government RHPP funding, which was supplemented further via Kensa’s partnership with Scottish and Southern Energy.

Ground Source Review: Yarlington Housing Association.

Kensa were approached by the social housing provider Yarlington Housing Group in late 2012 to undertake a retrofit project involving 200 of their housing stock. The project remit was to upgrade the heating systems on properties with the most vulnerable residents, installing new Kensa Compact ground source heat pumps to provide an efficient and economical means of heating and hot water, whilst reducing the carbon emissions of the stock.
