Kensa were the most Professional company we used throughout our new build, the customer care... before, during and after the installation of our ground source heating system was outstanding.Yesterday we had an electrical issue with our 7k compressor unit, I called the Chacewater department and spoke to Tom Morris from Technical support he guided me through the fault finding process on the phone, diagnosed the problem and had the new parts sorted for me to collect in 15mins of our phone call!Top service!I would highly recommend Kensa to anyone!read more

Just a fantastic company, with unparalled after sales service.I purchased a ground source heat... pump from Kensa 16 years ago, and the last couple of days I have had a problem with the programmer. Jordan, from their Technical Support Department was happy to spend a couple of hours on the phone with me today patiently talking me through the issues and getting my unit up and running again.What company is prepared to spend time on you these days,16 years after you last gave them a penny? The Kensa Heat Pump has worked perfectly with no faults for 11 years. Unfortunately the pressure... has dropped on the underfloor heating circuits so the heat pump has gone into a fault mode. I can honestly say that the service I have received from Kensa on the two occasions when we have... had problems with our heating system has been outstanding. David on the first occasion and Carl on the second were really committed to resolving the problems, which they did - very patiently, I might add. Carl also sent some useful reference material. Fantastic tech support from Jordan at Kensa engineering. I was trying to locate a part for another... make (continental) of heat pump without success. I was hoping Kensa could supply an alternative that would work even if not the original part. I sent a photo....no labels or part numbers. Jordan identified it explained it wasn't a part they could support as it was not a standard one supplied with any kensa products. It is usually maintenance free and very rarely... requires professional intervention.On the few occasions we have sought assistance we have always found Kensa technical staff to be extremely helpful, informative and professional. This morning, after 10 years of smooth running our Kensa heat pump threw a low pressure fault code.... I phoned up Kensa’s technical department (Tom Worth) who talked me through a temporary fix and then explained how to top up the pressure on the ground loop (there was no mains water feed already installed). We have had a Kensa heat pump for many years as early adopters of the technology. It has been... really reliable with minimal problems. We contacted Kensa today as the unit had lost all power. Had some control issues with U/F heating had to rule out heat pump as being the source spent best... part of 2 hours on phone with Tom from Tech support who was amazing. Talked me through every step and why we were testing various bits to rule out things stage by stage. Ended up changing some parameteers but the heat pump is working as expected.read more

My Family purchased a Kensa Evo Heat Pump in 2020 and Project Managed its installation. It has been... everything we could have hoped for. Hot Water and Heating throughout our newly extended property on the Lizard.We have, however, encountered one ongoing problem, not with the Kensa Heat Pump but with the Immersion Heater fitted to the Advance Appliances "Super Duplex Hot Water Tank. The Thermco Immersion Heater pre-fitted to the Hot Water Tank failed after just four months (April 2021). Advance supplied a replacement and reimbursed our associated Plumbing costs. The replacement Immersion Heater, an identical model from a 2018 batch lasted just nine months, failing in January 2022. Advance supplied another identical Thermco replacement, again from the same batch. This time, they were reluctant to reimburse our Plumbing costs.Given that this ongoing failure could only be due to 1) a faulty batch of Immersion Heaters or 2) something in our Bore Hole water, we paid to have our water tested for Chlorides and found a low reading of 57 per mg/l (PVC guide max 250 mg/l). The second replacement Immersion Heater supplied by Advance, again, an identical unit, failed in March 2021 lasting just three months!We contacted Kensa Customer Technical Support in Truro and they were rightly concerned. They sent one of the excellent Team came over quickly as possible and emptied the Hot Water Tank, flushed and cleaned it and refitted a new Tesla Immersion Heater. He also took away photos and water samples for further investigation. We now await the results.It has been an extremely frustrating series of events that shows that, however excellent and efficient the Kensa EVO Heat Pump is - and it is!, a minor component of the whole setup can completely cause problems and, effectively, close the system down. We are indebted to Kensa Technical Support in Truro for getting involved and searching for the both the cause and the long term solution.Julian D Rand MBEread more

Great company and GSHP. After nearly 8 years of continuous operation our trusty heat pump developed... a fault. I called Kensa technical support services and despite having very little experience in this area was patiently talked through the investigation by Carl Jackaman until we had successfully diagnosed the fault. Have had a heat pump supplied by Kensa since our house was built 14 years ago. It has been... absolutely excellent. Extremely economical, without any servicing issues. A recent problem occurred when a capacitor failed. Technical support was immediate ( they replied to my enquiry with one hour ). They supplied the necessary replacement part over night. Special thanks to Carl (K? ) who was particularly knowledgeable,helpful and even telephoned to check that the repair had gone well. Can not praise him and Kensa enough. When we called we thought we were getting the receptionist, but in fact we got Daisy. She knew more about what she was selling than anyone else we had spoken to. We installed our heat pump in 2007, yes..13 years ago. It has been an excellent and reliable... investment that has performed exactly as planned. Support from Kensa can only be described as outstanding. Any call for support is quickly answered by knowledgeable engineers, who work with you to diagnose and resolve the fault or diagnose the issue and then send the right resources to fix the system. They clearly keep a sense of ownership and pride in what they make and install and are patience personified in the way they deal with lay customers. Top marks from me and thanks in particular to Tom with a recent sensor failure that proved difficult to identify.read more

We recently had a Kensa Heat Pump installed at our new build Hobbit Hole holiday let. Nothing about... this whole build was easy but we opted for Kensa for our renewable energy. I chose Kensa Heat Pumps for our GSHP needs because Steve Costello and the other professionals I... met at home building events always welcomed me and answered all my questions. They introduced me to Howard Smith Builders in Herefordshire who installs many of their pumps and I visited him to see first-hand an installation Howard had done. Back to Kensa. All throughout the build and spec of our pump, Kensa stayed in touch and Steve even visited our home when the work began. I have also been assured that as and when there are software updates for their pumps, Kensa will provide them to me to ensure my pump stays at the optimum level. Thank you, Steve, and Kensa for sticking with me when I needed you to hold my pump for a year with no extra charge! Well, Kensa technicians continue to do a wonderful job. We installed our heat pump back in 2007.... Paid a fair price, got a grant towards the cost and have benefited from cheaper heating ever since. Any other boiler I am sure would have been on the scrap heap by now and the manufacturers not in the slightest bit interested in us. But not Kensa, they have continued to give first class technical support throughout the thirteen years - all advice free, friendly and helpful. We’ve bought a few bits, but not many and several parts have been provided free of charge. This time it was Todd doing the magic programming a new Corel for us, which he sent us by return at absolutely no cost to us. So anyone reading this - thinking of having a Kensa heat pump - do it! You won’t be sorry. Todd likened it to a land rover - sturdy, robust, efficient and long lasting and I think that’s absolutely right.read more

Similar to another reviewer, we bought Ground Source Heat Pump from Kensa some 10 or more years... ago. Never had any problems what so ever, until recently it fails to start and only rarely does it get up and going.Called the service desk, spoke to one of the Tom's, excellent knowledgeable advice culminating in us purchasing a replacement smart start box. I was nervous about doing the replacement, but encouraged by Tom, gave it a shot, it worked perfectly, job done !A couple of calls to the team always results in friendly expert definitive advice, everything breaks at some point, so its all in the recovery and the support team at Kensa have made recovery and service into an art form.The product is by design inherently more reliable than oil or gas boilers and the Kensa support experience confirms it was the right decision to buy the product.Congratulations.read more

Came across the invoice for our Kensa heat pump during a clear out. It cost us about £6k just over... ten years ago (+ digger hire for a few days) and I reckon it's saved us at least £750 per year since (probably closer to £1000). Maintenance cost so far has just been inhibitor for the heating system.read more
